Age Eligibility
The age eligibility date for qualifying for a team was changed in 2006 from August 1st to April 30th. This change is a national change and is not a factor that FLBA can change. This is a technical piece but has a big impact on which team a player can play on. Many comments were received about this change and the impact on team placement.
What has or will be done about the age eligibility change?
- FLBA Board believes that it is best for players to play with their grade classmates whenever possible. Therefore, the FLBA rules have been modified to allow this to happen as long as it does not conflict with league rules.
- The FLBA rule on age eligibility can be found on the 2008 registration form so that all players and families can find it easily.
- A process is in place to quickly review and resolve any age eligibility questions.
Applications for head coaches for traveling teams ages 10-18 are being accepted for the 2008 traveling baseball season until January 13, 2008.

Umpires will be paid every 2 weeks on Fridays starting on May 23, 2008. You will only be paid for the timecards that I have received by Wednesday of that week.
You will not received a check if I have not received a
completed W9 form.
